Mitarbeiter aus Wissenschaft und Forschung
Mitarbeiter aus Wissenschaft und Forschung erhalten Zugang zu dem HP XC System über einen Projektantrag. Sobald ein Projektantrag bei uns eingetroffen ist, erhalten alle Mitarbeiter des Projekts (unbestätigte) Accounts auf dem HP XC Parallelrechner. Während des Begutachtungsverfahrens bleiben die Accounts gültig. Bei einer positiven Entscheidung des Lenkungsausschusses werden die Accounts bestätigt und alle Projektmitarbeiter haben daraufhin im Rahmen der bewilligten Ressourcen des Projekts Zugriff auf das HP XC System.
Um die benötigten Ressourcen abschätzen zu können, gewähren wir Vorab-Accounts für geplante Projekte, die maximal 4 Wochen lang gültig sind. Bei Eintreffen eines Projektantrags innerhalb der 4-wöchigen Frist werden aus den Vorab-Accounts (unbestätigte) Accounts, ansonsten werden die Vorab-Accounts geschlossen. Zur Beantragung eines Vorab-Accounts benötigen wir nur eine Email, die eine kurze Information zu dem geplanten Projekt und den Namen und die Anschrift des Projektmangers enthält, an den hier anwählbaren Verteiler.

Haben Sie bereits erfolgreich einen Projektantrag gestellt und ist Ihre bewilligte CPU-Zeit oder der bewilligte Plattenplatz verbraucht, müssen Sie einen Folgeantrag stellen. In dem Folgeantrag wird keine ausführliche Projektbeschreibung gefordert; deshalb können Sie diese Art des Antrags nur verwenden, wenn Ihr Projekt sich nicht substantiell ändert.

Ist einzig und allein der Bewilligungszeitraum Ihres Projektes abgelaufen (d.h. Sie haben noch CPU-Zeit und permanenten Plattenplatz zur Verfügung), können Sie per Email an den hier anwählbaren Verteiler den Bewilligungszeitraum verlängern lassen.

Staff from science or research get an account by writing an online proposal. Together with the incoming of the online proposal at SSCK the members of the project get accounts on HP XC. During the review procedure the (unconfirmed) accounts stay valid. At a positive decision of the steering comittee the accounts are confirmed and all project members have access to HP XC within the limits of the granted recources of the project.
To evaluate the needed resources within a project it is possible to get pre-accounts for 4 weeks within a planned project. If an online proposal arrives within these 4 weeks the pre-accounts get (unconfirmed) accounts else the pre-accounts will be closed. To get pre-accounts an email containing a brief information about the planned project and its project manager must be sent to the email address you can see here.

Is your granted CPU-time or permanent disk space exhausted you have to write an follow-on online proposal. In the follow-on proposal a detailled project description is not required; therefore you can only use this kind of form if your reviewed project does not change substantially. If solely your granted timeframe is exhausted you can extend your timeframe by writing an email to the address you can see here.
