Observatory Practice / Research Places

My current research place is the Black Forest Observatory. I am member of the Geophysical Institute (GPI) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

From 2000 to 2003 I was member of the Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics at the University of Frankfurt. There I contributed to the maintenance of the GRSN station TNS. This work triggered my reasearch on magnetic field induced noise in borad-band seismic recordings.

From 1996 to 2000 I was member of the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Stuttgart. There I operated the seimic broad-band station STU that is affiliated GEOFON and GRSN networks. I contributed in setting up station STU to be the first german station equipped with the COMSERV data storage software which at that time was the heart of the GFZ-SeisComp system.
