Current Topics in the Life Sciences: Research Seminar for PhD and Master Students

Summer Term 2011

By Almut Köhler, Christoph Basse and Tilman Lamparter

The participation in the seminar is a duty for all biology doctoral candidates of the faculty. Regular participation must be proved for at least 3 semesters by entry in an attendance list. Every doctoral candidate must give 2 talks: "Suggested Project" and "Main Project".
Talk about "Suggested Project": 10 min and 10 min discussion.
Talk about "Main Project": 20 min and 15 min discussion.
The talks should be given in English.

For master students: participation and summary about one seminar day (in groups of 3 to 4).

The seminar takes place on Thursdays from 17:15 to 19 o'clock in the lecture room Hörsaal 2 of the chemistry building 30.41.
Click here for the location of the building.

Registration closed!

Here you find a pdf file about the organisation of the seminar (new version of April 15).

Master Students

Master students (in groups of 3 or 4) must write a 1-4 page summary about one seminar day. Please send the summary two weeks after the talk to Almut Köhler (AK) Christoph Basse (CB) or Tilman Lamparter (TL). Please contact the referees before and / or after the talk, you might find a link to the email list below.
