0004B/C: Moderne Biologische Methoden-Schnupperpraktikum und
Seminar

The aim of this practical and combined seminar is to enable the
students to carry out, in its entirety, a small ecological/parasitological
project from its conception to the communication of its results.
The process involves the typical progression for a scientific
research project:
1.
to review background information on an ecological/parasitological
topic which is a current research direction in our department
2. to develop a scientific hypothesis which is testable within
the time span available
3. to carry out the laboratory or field work to obtain the
data to test the hypothesis
4. to analyse the data
5. to discuss the results
6. to write a scientific report as required for submission
to a journal:
